We collaborate with detention facilities (at Spartanburg Detention Facility) to fulfill all commissary and vending needs. Commissary clerk responsibilities are divided into specific roles, with each team member receiving cross-training in all aspects of the position. As team members gain proficiency, experience, and knowledge, their training expands to encompass additional processes.
Core duties include, but are not limited to:
Pulling Orders
Unloading trucks
Loading Trucks
Receiving and labeling inbound product
Putting away received product
Restocking vending machines throughout the detention facility
Making deliveries to inmates within the detention facility
Using our custom software to track any issues with the order and running reports
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company & detention facility policies & procedures in regards to safety
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Warehouse experience is preferred but not required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to handle basic math, calculating totals, and managing inventory
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
High school diploma or GED required
Must have a clear background
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
