Mission (About the Role)

 

As aAutomation Engineer at Schneider Electricyou will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in supporting Schneider Electric’s Supply Chain Business Unit, measuring and analyzing warehouse performance (cost and service), implementing corrective action and managing projects to design and optimize warehousing process  

 

What will you do?  

 

Process Design 

  • Deploy standard processes in line with Schneider Performance System requirements with primary focus on logistics processes 
  • Support the new initiative or process change request in assigned sectorValidate changed and complete necessary documentation JBS, OWS and complete Training for operation supervisor & operators with signed training records 
  • Conduct quarterly FMR analysis and ensure recommended storage strategy is in place 
  • Conduct yearly SMB2 review and ensure time standards are maintained on a regular basis 
  • Support the analysis through PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) in assigned sector and implement actions coming out of PFMEA 

Process Improvement 

  • Monitor utilization of performance tracking tools and drive productivity improvement for assigned sector 
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis for issues assigned from productivity barrier trackingquality issues and system related issues and work with operation to deploy identified containment / corrective actio 
  • Lead and implement the actions coming from IDEA system 

Digitization & Transformation 

  • Support Smart DC, digitization or digital projects (inclTableau dashboards) 
  • Support on CHR implementation, UAT and Follow up 
  • Support any system related issues faced by operations and ensure timely resolution 
  • Experience with conveyor systems, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMRs) 
  • Warehouse Management System implementation with project management experience and familiar with Manhattan systems   

 

What qualifications will make you successful? 

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Logistics Management / Supply Chain Management   
  • At least 4 years of working experience in warehouse and logistics operations with global presence 
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and terminology such as FIFO, MIGO and etc.  Working knowledge on inventory management and transportation 
  • Computer literateexperience SAP & WM is required 
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.  
  • Proven record on problem solving skills
