Tilson Homes looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the North Texas area as a Residential Land Preparation Specialist.

Requirements

As a Residential Land Preparation Specialist you will be responsible for marking out the location of the house on the customer’s property based on the information provided. Research and ensure compliance with any local or state restrictions, and facilitating land development activities that prepare a future home site for construction. Additional requirements are:

  • Meet with customers prior to construction to discuss the location of the house on the property.
  • Research: identify any obstacles, requirements (state, local, FEMA) for the property.
  • Confirm the location of the property (city, county) and identify utility providers.
  • Determine the location of house placement on the property and the need for utilities, well and septic.
  • Determine site conditions and coordinate site improvements as necessary.
  • Determine what permits are needed and obtain permits.
  • Complete a physical stake out of the property and future home location with consideration of the property survey and shoot grade elevations.
  • Must have knowledge of state and county codes for well and septic.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and have a clear driving record for company vehicle insurance purposes.
