Position Information:
With integrity and impeccable attention to detail, the Events Bag Check Supervisor oversees on-site bag check operations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support Bag Check Attendants during event operations.
- Effectively coach and discipline staff as needed.
- Ensure bag check stations are properly set up, staffed, and operational before events begin.
- Provide site specific training and instruction to staff in the company’s policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure accurate bag intake, storage, tracking, and retrieval procedures are followed.
- Oversee use of technology systems, including bag tracking applications and credit card processing.
- Monitor safety, security, and organization of all stored items.
- Communicate effectively with event management, security, and operations teams.
- Resolve customer and employees’ requests, questions, and complaints with integrity and poise.
- Work in concert with all departments.
- Maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Attend meetings and/or training classes as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma, or the equivalent, preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisor experience, preferred.
Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Read, write, and comprehend instructions and information in English.
- Ability to use personal computer and hand-held applications.
- Ability to work flexible shifts/hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, at varying locations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast pace and high-volume environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Must present a professional, friendly image and appearance.
- Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
Physical Demands:
- Finger and hand dexterity.
- Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
- Noise levels may be distracting or uncomfortable.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extremes of hot or cold in addition to wet environments.
- Job requires the following motions: climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, occasionally lifting; up to 25 pounds, stretching, sitting, walking on uneven ground and stairs.
