HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:
- EPA certified
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Be familiar with a wide range of HVAC equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience making HVAC repair and replace decisions
- Advanced customer service skills
- Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles
- Operate equipment in a safe manner
HVAC Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Provide hand and power tools
- Layout, design, and install low voltage wiring
- Compile a complete materials list from blueprints
- Verify and coordinate building code compliance
- Communicate clearly the ideas and explanations of problems to customers and co-workers
- Troubleshooting equipment, make HVAC system repair and replace decisions
- Acquire commercial and residential HVAC maintenance agreements
- Writing work order for projects sold
- Responsible for follow-up process on each work order
- Coordinate and remain current on all local utility programs
- Converse with facilities engineers, building and homeowners, and general contractors
- Maintain professional appearance at all times
- Run after hours calls as required
- Other duties as assigned
