Job Responsibilities:
This role is designed for a passionate and innovative leader who is dedicated to creating meaningful, personalized guest journeys while guiding a talented team toward excellence. The Spa Director plays a vital role in shaping the vision and performance of our spa and wellness program, delivering elevated guest experiences through thoughtful service design, innovative programming, and strong operational leadership. As a member of the resort’s senior leadership team, this position will champion a culture of care, creativity, and service excellence while driving both guest satisfaction and business success.
Financial Management
- Demonstrate strong fiscal awareness by managing expenses while maximizing value for guests, team members, and the hotel
- Analyze financial and operating reports to control labor and operating costs while maximizing profitability
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue, cost control, and guest satisfaction goals
- Prepare and manage annual budgets and forecasts
- Ensure accurate accounting, payroll, and inventory controls
- Maintain proper staffing levels to support service standards and financial targets
- Oversee inventory, par levels, and equipment standards
- Continually evaluate spa menu offerings to meet guest demand and optimize revenue
- Develop and implement a successful retail sales strategy
Marketing & Revenue Generation
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to drive spa revenue and guest engagement
- Utilize industry trends and data to inform marketing strategies
- Support group sales and promotional initiatives
- Build and maintain a strong guest profile and loyal client base
Guest Experience
- Champion a guest-focused culture and consistently exceed expectations
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvement strategies
- Serve as the primary point of resolution for guest concerns
- Stay current with spa and wellness trends to ensure offerings remain relevant and holistic
Operations & Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day spa operations including scheduling, inventory, and facility standards
- Develop and implement SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate spa team members
- Lead regular team meetings focused on service excellence and sales growth
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance to maintain spa facilities and equipment
- Maintain a professional, positive, and high-morale work environment
Managerial Expectations
- Lead with a hands-on, participative management style
- Communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats
- Delegate effectively with follow-up and accountability

Business & Technical Skills
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost control skills

- Advanced computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word, PMS, POS systems)
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Executive Leadership Responsibilities
- Participate in Executive Committee and Senior Leadership meetings
- Monitor daily revenue, labor reports, and monthly P&L statements
- Conduct regular facility tours and recommend improvements
- Support staff development and performance management
- Partner with People & Culture on recruitment, morale, and employee relations
- Represent the hotel at community and industry events
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations
- Participate in action planning based on guest and employee feedback
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Range (Salaried): $85,000 - $90,000 per year plus bonus

Requirements
- Proven experience leading spa or luxury wellness operations for minimum of 5 years
- Strong financial and operational management background
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
