Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist to step into a multi-disciplinary Team Leader position.

You'll have the opportunity to share your expertise, mentor emerging professionals and contribute to meaningful outcomes in your local community + clinic.

In turn, we will develop your career by providing access to many inhouse pathways such as our Leadership Excellence program!

On a daily basis you will:

  • Provide operational support for each discipline
  • Provide mentorship, training and formal 1:1 supervision to clinicians
  • Run monthly peer group supervision sessions
  • Independently assess complex participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function for caseload allocation
  • Use clinical observations and standardised assessments and interpret findings to formulate treatment goals.
  • Mentor graduates and early career clinicians
  • Deliver much needed therapy services to participants within schools, clinic, homes and community
  • Maintain awareness of current NDIS legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

To be considered suitable you will have:

  • Degree qualification in either Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology  
  • Experience in the NDIS is essential
  • Current full registration or unrestricted membership with the applicable national professional body in Australia for your field of qualification
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and support allied health professionals in the development of their clinical skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new idea
  • Looking for a fun, collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
