Responsibilities:
- Work with the Leadership Team to oversee all day to day clinical operations at existing sites.
- Assist with developing new sites as needed, such as attending lunches with the marketing team.
- Assist with recruiting and on-boarding of new clinical team members such as interviews, coordinating in-person site visits, etc.
- Assist with training new providers on Sage Clinical Guidelines, policies and procedures, and provider resources as needed, in conjunction with Lead NPs and Clinical Educator.
- Review the weekly schedule review completed by the Lead NPs to ensure there are no discrepancies.
- Works in clinic 2-3 days per week. Other 2-3 days are remote (home or covering locations as needed).
- Lead NP to assist Regional Clinical Manager with completing Shift Admin for their specific clinic site based on needs. WFH days may need to be adjusted to accommodate PRN staff, vacation requests, staff callouts due to illness, etc.
- In conjunction with Lead site NPs, coordinate with Intake Team and PRN providers to rapidly fill urgent provider staffing gaps, ensuring seamless coverage.
- Act as resource for Providers regarding clinical questions (infusion reactions, scheduling concerns, drug administration, etc)
- Participates in Peer to Peer for insurance review when necessary.
- Coordinate removal of medications from refrigerators during power outages (ex. hurricanes)
- Actively participates in the implementation of new software pilots designed to enhance patient experience, improve internal operations, and support the delivery of innovative and exceptional patient care.
- Measures and monitors team metrics, using data to ensure consistency across locations within defined Region.
- Leads and develops Lead NPs and ICNs on the team, focusing on task delegation, performance management, and day-to-day team coordination.
- Communicates clearly and consistently, provides regular feedback to team members, and represents team needs to leadership.
- Ensures the team delivers quality patient care according to established standards, best practices and company purpose.
- Provides coverage and support for the Director of Clinical Services, Senior Clinical Manager or other Regional Managers as needed; Serves as a backup facilitator for monthly clinical team meetings if needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Sage leadership, such as establishing new medication protocols, developing pilot projects, etc.
- Provide support and back up to Lead NPs if they are unable to complete their duties due to illness, etc.
Addendum: Lead Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities for Regional Clinical Managers Managing a Clinic Site
In addition to the Regional Clinical Manager responsibilities outlined above, Regional Managers who continue to serve as the Lead Nurse Practitioner for their assigned clinic site will also be responsible for the following Lead NP duties:
- Schedule reviews with intake weekly (cc email to Managers)
- Main resource for Providers regarding clinical questions (infusion reactions, scheduling concerns, drug administration, etc)
- Assists in completing Letters of Medical Necessity (LOMN) and Appeal Letters as needed.
- Participates in Peer to Peer for insurance review when necessary.
- Clinical calls to new Tepezza and Krystexa patients on WFH days.
- Maintain the weekly Tepezza spreadsheet.
- Order supplies as needed.
- Assist in staffing clinic and closing shifts as needed
- Monthly Emergency Checklists
- Answering/returning incoming clinical calls during WFH days
- Clinical call coverage on weekend once quarterly
Requirements
Qualifications/Certifications:
- Valid Florida APRN or PA license required
- Valid driver's license required
- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
- 1 year or more experience in leading a team of providers
- Comfortable with MS Word and Excel (or equivalent), using virtual meeting software,and EHR platforms
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Expert knowledge of clinical policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
