Position Summary:
This position reports to the Lab Supervisor and provides support for project-related localization engineering tasks as directed.
Primary Duties
Serve as the Lead Engineer for SAP simulation testing, providing technical support, guidance, and expertise as needed on these projects.
Provide engineering support of UI, Help, and Web projects for our clients (as needed).
Provide engineering support for functional testing of localized software.
Master the use of translation tools.
Support LLS’ Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division’s processes, procedures and services; and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
In office position.
Familiarity with Windows and Mac development environments.
Knowledge of desk top publishing tools.
Knowledge of database principles and applications.
Knowledge of how to install, upgrade and configure software applications.
Experience with on-line help files and the software localization process.
Good analytical abilities.
Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
Problem solving and trouble shooting abilities.
Must be detail oriented.
Foreign language skills a plus.
Appropriate Education and Experience:
A minimum of a bachelor degree with GPA > 3.0, preferably in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated success in projects requiring software localization, functional testing, or simulation testing.
