Automotive Service Technician

Description

 Mazda of Fort Walton Beach is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on dealership or independent shop experience. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, efficiency, and delivering a premium customer experience in a growing service department. 

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Mazda vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards
   
• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
   
• Complete warranty, customer pay, and internal repair orders efficiently and correctly
   
• Utilize scan tools, service information systems, and digital inspection tools
   
• Conduct multi-point inspections and communicate repair needs clearly
   
• Maintain productivity, flagged hours, and quality standards
   
• Follow all dealership safety, compliance, and cleanliness guidelines
   
• Collaborate with service advisors and leadership to ensure timely vehicle turnaround
   
• Stay current with Mazda technical training and service bulletins
   

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of automotive technician experience
   
• Dealership experience preferred
   
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
   
• ASE certifications preferred
   
• Mazda experience is a plus, but not required
   
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
   
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
   
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
