Reports To: Front Office Coordinator
Employee Status: Non-Exempt (Regarding Overtime)
Position Summary: Under general supervision, but in line with established PC&HC policies and procedures, provide customer service and release of information. Scan and distributes data. Perform basic clerical skills during the course of a business day.
Essential Functions
- Represent PC&HC to the patients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide prompt, efficient and accurate patient and customer service.
- Release patient health information by phone, fax or mail in a timely and thorough manner, including all copies of letters, dictation, labs, and x-rays requested.
- Print records for phone requests, or walk-in requests in an accurate and timely fashion according to clinic guidelines.
- Greet, assist, and direct patients appropriately.
- Update and correct patient account information in the computer system during each visit.
- Ensure new and updated documentation is filed in the medical record.
- Improve the patient experience and health care processes and help assure the provision of high quality health care, as well as an ongoing process of performance improvement.
- Treat all patient information confidentially and in accordance with established guidelines.
Marginal Functions
- Serve as back up Patient Services Representative as directed.
- Perform all other duties as required or assigned.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a High School diploma or GED.
- One year of previous medical office experience.
- Must have strong computer skills with ability to multi task.
- Must follow all HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
- Must be able to operate or have ability to be trained to operate office equipment.
- Must be supportive of our mission in order to provide healthcare to the underinsured and uninsured.
