Feeding Tampa Bay serves ten counties in West Central Florida and is a leader in hunger relief across our region. Just last year, we served 85M meals to our neighbors through direct service and through our network of 400+ food pantry partners.

POSITION TITLE: IT-AV and Technology Specialist I

REPORTS TO: IT Manager

DEPARTMENT: Administration 

CLASSIFICATION: Onsite 

STATUS: Non-Exempt 

SALARY RANGE: $42,700 - $45,000


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Event Support: Provide primary on-site AV and technical support for internal and external events, including setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting.
  • Help Desk Support: Work with our support team to deliver first-line technical assistance for software, hardware, AV, and network issues through various channels (phone, email, in-person).
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical problems efficiently, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Hardware and Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals, as well as our various AV equipment and accessories.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, AV equipment, and software licenses.
  • Knowledge Base Development: Aid in creating and updating user-friendly documentation and training materials.
  • Network Administration: Assist with network maintenance, troubleshooting, and user access management.
  • Physical Security: Contribute to the maintenance and monitoring of physical security systems, such as access control and surveillance.



Requirements

  • Excel working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and demonstrate the ability to embrace the FTB’s commitment to treat all people with equity and respect in pursuit of our mission to feed people in need and mobilize our community to eliminate hunger
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in end-user support or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Feeding Tampa Bay
  • High flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events (Flex scheduling provided where possible).
  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment as needed.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and crawl in tight spaces.
  • Basic understanding of network administration and security principles.
  • Knowledge of physical security systems and procedures preferred.
  • Willing to actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations as needed.
