Job Description
- Ensures that all Halal standardized recipes are utilized and followed by all culinary team members, and oversees ordering, inventory, and food controls for the entire department.
- Adheres to all Halal standards and guidelines in preparation and methods of production, and maintains and sets sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Assists with maintaining a solution-oriented work environment through motivation and engagement, and helps in the training and development of colleagues.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a degree in Culinary Arts or related discipline an asset.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a luxury hotel and in Halal kitchen operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong working knowledge on food safety and sanitation and Halal food preparation and cooking methods.
