You will be involved in the development of Children and Teens services and programmes at Punggol Regional Library as a Spark!Lab Intern under Children & Reading.
[What you will be working on]
- Contribute to the enhancement and development of Spark!Lab resources and visitor experiences.
- Assist in designing and implementing new evaluation and feedback methods for the Spark!Lab programme.
- Support the integration of innovative learning approaches, such as storytelling, into Spark!Lab activities.
- Participate in projects aimed at increasing visitor engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with the team to research, plan, and execute various improvement initiatives for Spark!Lab.
- Assist the Project Manager in stakeholder engagement, documentation, and presentation preparation.
[What we are looking for]
- Open to students from all disciplines; students with a background in STEM education are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Good communication and writing skills, with the ability to create engaging content for children and adults.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation and hands-on learning.
- Familiarity with digital tools for content creation and basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with or interest in storytelling techniques and their application in educational settings.
- Ability to analyse data and present findings in a clear, concise manner.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
- Knowledge of or interest in makerspaces, STEM education, or interactive learning environments is advantageous.
Candidate will be required to work on 2 weekend days per month, and time-off in lieu will be granted.
Duration: 3 months
