We have an opportunity for a Portfolio Performance Manager to join our tīma (team). This tūranga (role) is responsible for developing and delivering insights related to the portfolio performance for the product set to improve the financial, sales, risk and capital performance of the portfolio.

This is an Auckland based hybrid tūranga with three days in the office.
What are the day to day tasks the person in this tūranga will complete?
- Looking for opportunities within the portfolio that align with our strategic initiatives and driving these with the support of the tīma.
- Structure and perform robust strategic analysis and portfolio and financial modelling to identify high opportunity areas across the portfolio.
- Working collaboratively with our domain to develop clear and compelling presentations and reports to communicate insights and opportunities that inform strategic decisions for the portfolio.
- Supporting our tīma in their duties and fostering a collaborative coaching environment.

I encourage my tīma to support each other and believe that if we look after people well, that's when they will be able to do their best work.
What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?
A challenging market environment, so we need someone with proven experience in financial analysis, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as experience in solving commercial challenges through data, insights, and relationships.
What will success look like for the candidate in this tūranga
This tūranga has visibility across multiple domains; Customer Products & Services, Digital Data & Analytics, Finance, whereby success in this tūranga looks like this person being an expert/go to person for home loan portfolio insights by our key stakeholders within each of these domains.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga?
Curious, self-driven and uses their initiative, enjoys being part of a collaborative tīma, and not afraid of the challenges we face!
What skills and attributes will this person have to be successful in this role?
- 4+ years experience in a Strategy/Pricing/Commercial/Finance role.
- 4+ years in the New Zealand financial services industry relating to banking products.
- Proven experience in financial and/or strategic, structuring investigations and communicating clear insights.
- Experience in solving commercial challenges through data and insights.
- MS Office - Advanced ability in Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
