About the Role

Electronic Security Technician - Service

Are you a service-focused electronic security professional who enjoys being on the road and working with enterprise-level systems? The role

Based in Auckland, with our offices located in Mt Wellington, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault-finding, and compliance testing of electronic security systems at customer premises. You will ensure all work is delivered to Chubb standards and in accordance with New Zealand regulatory and industry requirements.
 

This will involve:

  • Delivering best-practice outcomes for technically complex, enterprise-level electronic security solutions.

  • Service, maintenance, fault diagnosis, minor works installation, and commissioning of:

    • Intruder alarm systems

    • Enterprise access control systems including Gallagher, Inner Range Integriti, and ICT Protege

    • Enterprise CCTV and video management platforms including Milestone and Avigilon

  • Completing compliance testing and producing detailed technical documentation and service reports.

  • Diagnosing and resolving issues across integrated security systems in live customer environments.

  • Working closely with other technicians, project managers, and external subcontractors to deliver high-quality service and project outcomes.

  • Providing professional, customer-focused support while on customer sites.

To be successful

You will have proven experience in the electronic security industry, with strong exposure to enterprise and high-end commercial security systems. You are organised, technically capable, and customer-focused, with the ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
 

You will: 

  • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

  • Hold a current full driver’s license.

  • Hold a current and valid Certificate of Approval (COA).

  • Have the ability to obtain and maintain additional customer and site-specific security clearances, as required.

  • Be highly skilled in enterprise electronic security systems.

  • Hold relevant manufacturer certifications, particularly in:

    • Gallagher

    • Inner Range Integriti

    • ICT Protege

    • Milestone

    • Avigilon

  • Demonstrate strong time management, including effective job and route planning.

  • Have the ability to prepare clear, accurate, and well-detailed written service and compliance reports.

  • Be a proactive, reliable, and safety-focused member of the team.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness of New Zealand regulatory and industry standards.

  • Confidently use mobile technology, including the FieldService application, to plan schedules and manage work orders through to completion.
