Our Product Governance team is a trusted strategic partner to Product Management. We work alongside the business to design, uplift and embed strong procedures and guidance aligned to the Product and Services Lifecycle Policy. We aim to drive sound, right-sized governance that delivers fair, transparent, and sustainable customer outcomes while supporting Westpac New Zealand's strategic and regulatory deliverables.
We’re a busy, collaborative team operating at the heart of the Product, Sustainability and Marketing (PSM) business unit. Alongside our day-to-day governance responsibilities, we’re also deeply involved in a programme of work aimed at strengthening product management practices.
As the Product Governance Advisor, you’ll be central to this transformation. You’ll contribute to the design and delivery of key governance initiatives, help shape improvements to product management practices, and support the team with everyday product governance activities.

Experience in financial services
Background in Product Governance, Risk and (adjacent to product), and/or Product Management
Experience supporting governance functions in large organisations
Exposure to product lifecycle frameworks or regulatory deliverables
Power BI experience is advantageous
Strong stakeholder management skills
