SUMMARY

Manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of Residential Programs (Glen’s House and Gail’s Houses). Supervises, trains and coordinates activities of all staff. Works with Clinical supervisor to support implementation of evidence-based models. Assists the program manager in hiring recommendations and disciplinary actions. Assures contract and licensing compliance and produces desired outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities associated with this job will change from time to time in accordance with the agency's program and business needs. More specifically, the incumbent may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those described below.

  • Provides direction, support, and training to assigned staff, including Direct Care Staff, Specialist.
  • Assists in the development, training of staff and implementation of treatment curriculum.
  • ·Manages and oversees day to day operation of specific Program components, including crisis resolution; scheduling staff; collateral relationships; required recordkeeping and documentation, worker, and client safety.
  • Duties include facility oversight and coordination with facility manager, food purchase and preparation, scheduling use of other facilities.
  • Ensures all licensing requirements are met.
  • On call responsibilities related to staff support and consultation. 
  • Interviews potential staff; makes hiring/termination recommendations in consultation with the program manager.
  • Identifies and solves program concerns in the maintenance of standards and licensing regulations and maintains awareness of and solutions for inter-unit and inter-organizational issues.
  • Must be able to fill in when shifts are not filled.
  • Ability to work some evening and weekends to provide support on each shift.
  • Participates as a member of the Agency's Management Team.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises program staff. This includes direct care staff, specialists, and other assigned staff.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree. Preferred master’s degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited school. 
  • Three to five years related professional experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Individual with specialized training and three to five years of experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families. 
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred. Lived experience with behavioral health issues is desired.
