Job Description

Primary Objective

Provide high-quality technical support to Customers, Sales, and Technical teams, contributing to Sika’s objective of achieving market leadership. Support the development, rollout, and maintenance of Sika’s product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support and product training to Sales Engineers, Applicators, Contractors, and Consultants.
  • Perform site visits and prepare clear technical reports; maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, actions taken, and recommendations using designated systems.
  • Plan, organize, conduct, and report on product training programs for Sales Engineers and Applicators.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and report product field testing in alignment with Target Market Managers and Product Engineers.
  • Investigate customer complaints and product claims, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct technical benchmarking, on-site testing, and coordinate third-party laboratory testing in collaboration with the Technical Head and Product Engineers.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance, application guidance, and training to applicators.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise product mock-ups and site sample applications.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager, appropriate to the role.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Sika’s Quality Management System and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Promote and implement safe working practices at all times.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Skills

  • Proven hands-on site experience in construction projects, with demonstrated ability to work in active site environments under real project conditions.
  • Practical experience in the application of construction materials field, such as:
    • Waterproofing and roofing systems (PVC, TPO, Bitumen, Polyurea)
    • Building finishing systems (tile adhesives, tile grouts, paints)
    • Industrial flooring systems (epoxy and PU resin based, cementitious)
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
  • Computer Literate - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CAD knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to work on construction sites, including exposure to demanding site conditions and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction / Building Technology or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
