About the Role

Description

We are looking for a compassionate and team-oriented mental health professional to join our Clinical Services team providing individual and group counseling services to adult survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The ideal candidate would have training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).


Reports to: Adult Clinical Services Coordinator

Supervises: Assigned Interns and Volunteers


Primary Functions:

  • Prepare and maintain a service plan with each client
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to adult survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault
  • Ensure appropriate and current information and referrals are given to clients
  • Maintain client files and records with confidentiality and accurate and complete documentation
  • Collect and report statistical data reflecting the services provided
  • Maintain relationships with community agencies
  • Participate in DCFOF staff and education meetings as requested
  • Provide clinical supervision of counseling interns as assigned

Requirements


Prerequisites:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in counseling or related field
  • Licensed as LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist; full licensure preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of relationship violence and sexual assault

Preferences:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • EMDR training and experience 
  • CPT training and experience 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to easily climb stairs
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
