Job Description
As a Completion Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of corporate loan transactions, ensuring all necessary documentation, compliance checks, and approvals are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders including Portfolio Managers, Underwriters, Legal and Financial Crime teams. Operating a key control to ensure the smooth closing and fulfilment of corporate lending deals.
As a Completion Manager, we are looking for someone to:
- Oversee the preparation, review, and completion of loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and requirements
- Coordinate with Case Managers, Solicitors and Underwriters to ensure a seamless process from loan approval to completion agreeing key completion dates.
- Proactively manage a pipeline of cases within agreed Service Level Agreement's
- Ensure all loan transactions comply with Lending standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Conduct a thorough quality control review of each loan file to ensure accuracy and completeness before final submission for approval.
- Conduct final checks and ensure all pre-closing conditions are met before disbursement of funds
- Monitor the status of loan approvals and ensure timely completion of underwriting and credit review processes
- Work with operations and servicing teams to ensure loan disbursement and repayment schedules or any post-funding amendments are properly established in the system
- Maintain ongoing communication with relationship managers and clients to ensure post-completion compliance with loan terms, covenants, and conditions
- Identify areas for improvement in the completion process and implement best practice to enhance efficiency
- Develop and maintain a streamlined process for handling large or complex loan transactions
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in corporate lending, loan operations, or a similar role in a financial business
- Strong understanding of corporate lending products, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing large, complex loan transactions and working with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and workflow management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing loan documentation
- Proficiency with loan collateral, approval routes
- Proficient in both CRM and loan operating systems
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing issues, delays and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
