Location: Island Village Elementary School – Kissimmee, FL

Pay and Status: $18.00–$20.00 per hour | Part-Time


About the Role

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a Childcare Site Director to lead our Before & After School and Summer Programs at Island Village Elementary. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who enjoys working with children, supporting staff, and running a high-quality program in a structured, well-supported environment.


You’ll manage daily operations at one site, supervise a small team, and ensure a safe, engaging experience for children—while being supported by a Regional Director, established curriculum, and proven systems.


Schedule

School Year

  • Monday–Friday
  • 6:30–8:00 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM

Summer Program

  • Monday–Thursday
  • 6:30 AM–5:00 PM

Pay

  • $18.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, schedule, and support program staff
  • Maintain compliance with Florida childcare licensing and Healthy Kids policies
  • Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children
  • Communicate clearly with parents, school staff, and leadership
  • Manage attendance, timekeeping, and basic payroll submissions
  • Support enrollment growth and community engagement
  • Implement Healthy Kids curriculum and summer camp programming
  • Partner with Regional Leadership to continuously improve program quality

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree with 2–3 years of supervisory experience
  • Active Florida Director Credential (required)
  • Completion of 40 hours of required training (current documented transcript required)
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Superior administrative and supervisory skills, preferably in a consumer-driven environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and help create a team-oriented work environment
  • Commitment to delivering excellent programs and managing personnel expenses
  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties
  • Professional, reliable, passionate, and prompt with a warm, friendly, caring, and upbeat personality
  • Excellent time management skills
