About the Role

Our Housekeeping/Laundry (Neighborhood Specialist) position ensures resident rooms and common areas are clean, sanitary, and inviting.   We are currently seeking a dedicated, service-minded and detail-oriented individual to join our team.  This position has a significant and meaningful impact on the lives of our residents, staff and visitors by creating a safe, warm and welcoming environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping in resident rooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Change and launder bed linens and towels as required.
  • Assist with meal prep and clean up as needed.
  • Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
  • Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident and staff requests promptly.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping, laundry and cleaning experience preferred
  • Previous experience working in a retirement community preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy items.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
