Lilac Center has successfully provided a wide range of psychological services with a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focus. DBT teaches problem solving techniques designed to bring a healthy balance to thoughts, feelings and actions. Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a serious mental illness characterized by pervasive instability in moods, interpersonal relationships, self-image, and behavior. This instability often disrupts family and work life, long-term planning, and the individual’s sense of self-identity. DBT has shown to help those suffering from BPD through individual and group therapy sessions in which interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance/reality acceptance skills, emotion regulation, and mindfulness skills are taught.
About the Role

Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC)

Compensation: Part-time up to $30/hr / Full-time up to $61,000 annually; paid bi-weekly
Employment Type: W-2 Full-Time (Exempt) or W-2 Part-Time (Non-Exempt) Employee Opportunities Available
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm
Location: This is a hybrid role based out of Topeka, KS

A Licensed Mental Health Therapist with the Lilac Center provides high-quality outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families. Success in this role means maintaining a consistent caseload, delivering evidence-based care, and completing documentation accurately and on time while collaborating with a supportive clinical team.

Licensed Therapist Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of bio-psycho-social needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate individual and group sessions, teaching DBT skills in our Intensive Outpatient Program
  • Provide individual, family, and/or couples outpatient psychotherapy services using evidence-based modalities
  • Actively seek parent and/or patient feedback regarding programming and therapy goals
  • Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation
  • Maintain an active caseload of approximately26 clients per week; a minimum of 15 clients per week required
  • Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, or team meetings as required
  • Adhere to ethical standards, licensing requirements, and company policies


 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: Part-time up to $30/hr / Full-time up to $61,000 annually; paid bi-weekly (details below)
    • Salary Model
      • Provisionally licensed: Salary $53-58K
      • Clinically licensed: Salary $58-61K
      • Plus additional pay for evening hours
    • Per Clinical Hour Model:
      • Provisionally licensed: $25-$30
      • Clinically licensed: $30-$40
      • Plus additional pay for evening hours

Requirements

Licensed Therapist Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted license: LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC in  Kansas and/or Missouri
  •  Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field 
  • Strong background in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT)
  • Possess or be willing to learn DBT therapy
  • Ability to provide therapy independently
  • Comfort using an EHR and telehealth platforms
  • Experience conducting psychotherapy with specific populations (adolescents, trauma, couples, etc.)
  • Experience in outpatient or group practice settings

Licensed Therapist Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference for DBT therapy knowledge, with training available for the right candidate.
