About the Role

Description

Our team is looking to add an upbeat Van Driver to be a key person of reference for guests through unloading and loading luggage and driving them to local points of interest near the hotel. To be successful in this role, you will need to extend professionalism and courtesy, have outstanding communication skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be 21 years of age
  • Maintain vehicle mileage log at the beginning and end of each trip indicating mileage, time, name, and date
  • Ensure vans are clean and all proper vehicle maintenance records are current
  • Report all accidents and/or traffic violations immediately
  • Perform vehicle inspection prior to each trip and upon return to the hotel


Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of local roads and routes to area attractions and points of interest 
  • Having a proper, valid Driver's License and a clean driving record 
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement 
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
