About the Role

Description

Vision for the Position:

Most of the youth we serve are facing significant challenges, including homelessness, hunger, 

trafficking, difficulties within the foster care system, and other traumas. We are seeking a dedicated 

professional and minister to lead the services at The Landing, which supports youth ages 15 – 25 by 

caring for their emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. The Landing focuses on ministry, direct 

support, and connecting young people to additional resources both within The Fresno Mission and 

throughout the community. 

The Landing is a safe, compassionate, and welcoming space for youth who are navigating life 

insecurities caused by circumstances beyond their control. Each young person who comes to the 

mission carries unique experiences and traumas, yet all of them need someone they can trust as 

they face the pressures of social and family challenges. The Program Manager plays a vital role in 

overseeing The Landing drop-in center. This position is responsible for creating meaningful 

experiences that support youth emotionally, build skills, strengthen confidence, encourage 

community involvement, and foster reconciliation or improved relationships with their families.

  •  Develop programs or counseling opportuntities to administer to the mental health of the people we serve.

Education/Experience:

  •  College degree in social work, ministry, counseling, psychology or other related field is preferred. 
  •  At least three years of experience working with young people.
  •  Microsoft Office and computer skills.

Requirements

A mature walk with Jesus Christ and able to articulate Biblical beliefs and their application within the context of the Fresno Mission. All employees of Fresno Mission are an integral part of the outreach ministry of a non-denominational, evangelical ministry sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through transformational programs that provide food, shelter, clothing, education, job training and renewal of families to the poor and addicted. All employees are Christian missionaries and are required from time to time to participate in chapel services, outreach ministries, Bible studies and prayer times. Due to the nature of these types of ministries, it is an absolute necessity that each employee possesses and maintain a Christian testimony of their faith and experience in Jesus. Must be in agreement with the Statement of Faith of the Fresno Mission.
