About the Role

Description

The Clinical Supervisor & Training Specialist is a licensed behavioral health professional responsible

for providing clinical supervision, mentorship, documentation oversight, and professional

development training to newly graduated clinicians, interns, and therapy staff at Transformation

Healthcare Inc. (THI).

This role supports THI’s commitment to clinical excellence, workforce development, regulatory

compliance, and high-quality care delivery. The position focuses primarily on supervision and

training, with the option to provide direct clinical services as assigned.

Requirements

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Supervision & Mentorship

• Provide weekly clinical supervision to newly graduated clinicians and assigned supervisees.

• Facilitate individual supervision sessions addressing:

o Case conceptualization

o Ethical decision-making

o Clinical interventions

o Professional identity and growth

• Support supervisees in meeting licensing board requirements and professional milestones.

• Serve as a mentor and clinical resource to interns and early-career clinicians.

Documentation Review & Clinical Oversight

• Review and sign weekly clinical documentation for assigned supervisees, including:

o Progress notes

o Treatment plans

o Clinical updates

Ensure documentation meets:

o Licensing board standards

o Payer and Medicaid requirements

o THI documentation policies

• Identify deficiencies and provide corrective guidance and coaching.

Training & Staff Development

• Facilitate bi-monthly clinical training sessions for the therapy team, beginning in January.

• Training sessions will run approximately 1–2 hours and may include topics such as:

o Evidence-based practices

o Ethics and professional boundaries

o Documentation compliance

o Working with high-acuity and complex populations

• Collaborate with Clinical Leadership to assess training needs and develop content.

Direct Clinical Services (If assigned)

• Provide direct client care as needed and approved by THI leadership.

• Maintain compliance with all clinical, ethical, and documentation standards.

• Coordinate caseload expectations with the Clinical Director.

Collaboration & Communication

• Maintain ongoing communication with the Clinical Director and Medical Director regarding:

o Supervisee progress

o Clinical concerns

o Risk management issues

• Participate in meetings and initiatives that support clinical quality and staff development.

• Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with all THI staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related clinical field (required)

Licensure

• Active, unrestricted Maryland clinical license (LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent)

• Approved clinical supervisor status, where applicable

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience

• Prior experience providing clinical supervision and mentorship.

• Experience supporting newly licensed clinicians or graduate-level providers preferred.

• Strong background in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong clinical judgment and ethical practice

• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop clinicians.

• Knowledge of documentation, compliance, and payer standards

• Effective teaching and communication skills

• Ability to manage supervision, documentation review, and training responsibilities efficiently

• Professional demeanor and leadership presence

PHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

• Use of office equipment and electronic medical records

• Occasional travel between THI locations

• Exposure to clinical environments with moderate to high-acuity clients
