Description
We are looking for an Inventory Specialist to maintain inventory accuracy across the facility through oversight of inventory controls, analysis of inventory discrepancies, and implementation of corrective actions. This position will work closely with both the finance and operations teams to help ensure accuracy of physical inventory, perform routine inventory counts, and investigate discrepancies between inventory and financial records. This job is a great opportunity for a dependable, detail oriented, organized, team player.
Your Duties:
- Own and manage the cycle count program to ensure ongoing inventory accuracy throughout the facility
- Review, analyze, and reconcile inventory variances on a regular basis
- Investigate inventory discrepancies to determine root cause, including receiving, production, system transactions, and material handling issues
- Prepare and maintain cycle count schedules, reports, and inventory accuracy metrics
- Print and maintain labels for pallets, racks, and stock locations as required
- Document inventory discrepancies, adjustments, and corrective actions
- Communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to management
- Maintain procedures related to inventory control and inventory accuracy to support measurable improvement goals
- Assist with physical inventories and audits as needed
- Ensure accurate inventory transactions within ERP systems
- Cross-train in picking sales orders and performing quality control checks as needed
- Compliance with ISO 9001 standard and 5S Visual Workplace/Lean Manufacturing
Qualificiations:
- High School Diploma required, Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2-5 years of inventory control, inventory analysis, or warehouse operations experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills investigating inventory discrepancies strongly preferred
- High attention to detail with the ability to see patterns and trends
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and inventory systems
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and influence across departments
- Forklift Certification required or willing to obtain
