We are a benevolent 501C3 Level I and Level II Outpatient nonprofit addiction treatment center whose mission it is to serve those afflicted with substance abuse disorders of any kind, who are not otherwise served. Our services, our compassion, our dedication to Chicago's invisible and most vulnerable populations is free. We provide a free lunch every weekday for anyone who stops by and feature unique and otherwise unavailable services such as "Street Yoga", Trauma Counseling, 12-step side-by-side Smart Recovery, as well as many other innovative recovery options.

Duties and Responsibilities

Care Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing compassionate counseling to individuals dealing with substance use challenges.
Diagnostic Criteria: Possess a thorough understanding of co-occurring disorders and the ability to make the distinction of primary mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
Compliance: Maintain clinical documentation standards in accordance with Illinois Administrative Code Title 77, Part 2060.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular chart audits and performance evaluations to ensure departmental KPIs and clinical outcomes are met.
Group Facilitation: Experience in facilitating didactic and psycho-educational groups as needed.
Other duties may be assigned relative to role and scope of work.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in counseling or social work from an accredited, verifiable four-year college or university is required with a preference for licensing and/or Master’s Degree or a Certified
Alcohol and Drug Counselor certified by IAODAPCA/ICB.
Licensure (Preferred): Provisional license (LPC/LSW) or CADC.
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment.
Clinical Expertise: Understanding of the ASAM 4th Edition criteria and understanding of the DSM 5-TR as it relates to substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Competencies: (Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Experience)

Effective communication skills both oral and written
The ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools; Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
The ability to maintain and accurately document occurrences.
Adhere to deadlines and prioritize assigned work, projects.
Understand the Social Determinants of Health as framework relative to client population needs.
Awareness and utilization of Motivational Interviewing.
Understand and practice a client centered approach.
Understand and practice cultural awareness and humility.
