In this role, you’ll lead an engineering team and partner closely with cross-functional leaders to build and launch a brand-new product from the ground up!&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you’ll do</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with product management and design teams to understand business needs, growth objectives, and market dynamics</li> <li>Create a culture of innovation and technical excellence, encouraging experimentation and exploring new opportunities for company growth</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, automation, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and quality</li> <li>Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, enabling a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement</li> <li>Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the engineering teams, holding individuals accountable for their deliverables</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you bring</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience</strong> - 3+ years of experience working as Software Engineering Manager within a high performing Engineering organization</li> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in software development and delivery owning a highly visible and large technical scope and an in-depth knowledge of software architectures</li> <li>Experience in building and managing large scale software applications in a fast-paced, high-growth environment</li> </ul> <li><strong>Education</strong> - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field</li> <li><strong>Technical aptitude</strong> - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (we use Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Postgres, Kafka, Kubernetes)</li> <li><strong>Ownership</strong> - The pride you put into every aspect of your work is unparalleled and undeniable</li> <li><strong>Superb communication</strong> - Intentional dialogue is a superpower.
