<p><span><strong>Secondary Director</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Bruche Academy</strong></span><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;"><br></span><span><strong>Warrington Primary Academy Trust</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Contract:</strong> Full time, initially fixed term for 3 years</span><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;"><br></span><span><strong>Salary:</strong> L16–L21 (£75,049–£83,860)</span><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;"><br></span><span><strong>Start date:</strong> September 2026 (or sooner if available)</span><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;"><br></span><span><strong>Location:</strong> Bruche Academy, Warrington</span></p><p><span>Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT) is seeking to appoint an exceptional Secondary Director to lead the creation and growth of the secondary phase at Bruche Academy.</span></p><p><span><strong>Bruche Academy will become Warrington’s first all-through school from September 2026</strong>, welcoming pupils aged 2 to 16. Building on the success of Bruche Primary Academy, one of the highest performing primary schools nationally, the secondary phase will grow year-on-year to serve up to 550 pupils. A new secondary building will open in 2027 as part of a £13m investment in the site.</span></p><p><span>This is a rare start-up leadership opportunity. The Secondary Director will design, launch and grow Key Stage 3 and 4 provision, shaping curriculum, culture and systems from the outset. The role combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery and carries significant influence across the Trust’s future secondary development.</span></p><p><span>Reporting to the Executive Headteacher and Chief Executive Officer, the Secondary Director will lead standards, quality of education, culture, safeguarding and staff development across the secondary phase, while working closely with the Primary Head of School to secure a strong one-school ethos.</span></p><p><span><strong>As Secondary Director, you will:</strong></span></p><p><span>· Design and deliver a high-quality secondary curriculum from Year 7 to GCSE</span></p><p><span>· Lead mobilisation and readiness for the opening and growth of the secondary phase</span></p><p><span>· Build and lead a high-performing secondary teaching team</span></p><p><span>· Establish strong routines, behaviour and attendance from the first cohort</span></p><p><span>· Ensure safeguarding, inclusion and SEND are integral to school design and practice</span></p><p><span>· Drive high standards of teaching, learning and assessment</span></p><p><span>· Lead community engagement and secure strong Year 7 recruitment year-on-year</span></p><p><span>· Contribute to developing a scalable secondary model for WPAT</span></p><p><span>We are seeking an experienced secondary leader with a strong track record of impact. It serves nine academies across Warrington, Halton and Cheshire West & Chester and is entering a significant new phase of development with the introduction of secondary education.
