From Maine to California, our 1,200+ neighborhood stores serve more than 4 million shoppers each week.</div><div>We deliver our customers up to 40% savings, compared to conventional grocery stores, on exclusive Save A Lot brands and national brands, plus USDA-inspected beef, pork and poultry, farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, and common household items.</div><div>Our mission is to help our customers live richer, fuller lives by saving them money and time through the great food, great prices, and great people in our stores, every day.</div><div>Peebles Save-A-Lot is a family owned and operated business with strong ties to the community. </div><div><strong>Job Summary</strong></div><div>The Meat Department Trainee assists the Meat Cutter and Store Management in keeping the meat case and prep areas clean and up to the Peebles Save-a-lot standard. </div><div> </div><div> <strong>Responsibilities</strong> </div><ul> <li>Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork, and poultry items according to Save A Lot policies and procedures</li> <li> Places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers</li> <li>Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality</li> <li>Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy</li> </ul><div> </div><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age</li> <li>High School diploma or equivalent required</li> <li>Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw  WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON!</li> <li>Ability to regularly lift 80lbs</li> <li><strong><em><u>Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays</u></em></strong></li> </ul><div> </div> </div>
