Job Description

As Regional Sales Director Europe, you are responsible for defining and driving the European commercial strategy to achieve sustainable growth in volume, revenue, and contribution margin across all regions and countries.

You lead and develop the European sales organization, ensuring strong market execution, customer partnerships, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

You translate corporate and regional growth ambitions into clear commercial priorities, structures, and performance management across Europe.

You report to the Global Sales TM & Marketing Director.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Define and drive the Europe sales strategy in line with company objectives and growth ambitions
  • Set clear growth priorities by region, country, channel, and product portfolio
  • Ensure sustainable volume growth while safeguarding contribution margins
  • Lead, coach, and develop the European sales (leadership) team (regional, area and country managers)
  • Set clear objectives, performance expectations, and foster a strong, collaborative sales culture
  • Translate strategy into concrete sales objectives, and action plans
  • Monitor sales performance, forecasting, .. and take corrective actions where needed
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key European customers and distributors
  • Ensure strong cross-functional alignment (marketing, product, finance, supply chain,..) to deliver effective go-to-market execution and commercial results

 

     

    Qualifications

    Profile – Regional Sales Director Europe

    • You hold a higher degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, combined with at least 10–15 years of relevant commercial experience, preferably within the spare parts, lubricants, or automotive aftermarket sector (must-have). You have a strong track record in leading multi-country or regional sales organizations and driving sustainable growth in complex European markets.
    • You demonstrate strong strategic thinking and are able to translate corporate objectives into clear regional commercial strategies and execution plans. You have solid financial acumen, with the ability to manage revenue growth, margins, forecasting, and performance analysis at regional level.
    • You are a connected leader who works easily across functions and cultures, building strong partnerships with sales, marketing, product, finance, and operations. You influence without ego, communicate clearly, and create alignment across regions and teams.
    • You are committed to excellence in execution, customer relationships, and people development. You coach and develop senior commercial managers, foster collaboration, and build performing teams with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
    • You are results-driven, proactive, and comfortable managing complexity in a dynamic business environment. You take initiative and continuously improve yourself and the organization.
    • You speak English fluently; additional European languages are a strong asset. You are willing to travel extensively across Europe and operate with a high level of autonomy and strategic responsibility.
