Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USAToday Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to support our growing team. The Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for supporting employees throughout their employment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Support recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
- Assist with performance management processes.
- Handle employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. May substitute four (4) years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of experience in a human resources role
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Experience with HRIS systems and other HR technologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
- Experience in a government contracting environment.
- Knowledge of federal contractor compliance requirements (OFCCP, E-Verify, etc.).
