Senior Software Engineer (Python & Networking)

<p>As a Senior Software Engineer within the Platform Infrastructure group, you will architect and develop the foundational Axonius Platform that powers all existing and future products. You will tackle the most complex, high-impact engineering challenges that span the entire stack- from low-level system configuration to distributed backend applications. Joining a global team, you will act as a technical lighthouse, conducting deep-dive research and resolving intricate performance and architectural issues that others cannot.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Architect &amp; Develop:</strong> Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant backend services and infrastructure tools using Python, Docker, and Linux.</li> <li><strong>Deep-Dive Research:</strong> Act as the final escalation point for the R&amp;D organization, diagnosing and resolving complex, ambiguous system-wide performance issues and "unsolvable" bugs.</li> <li><strong>Platform Innovation:</strong> Build long-term infrastructure solutions and internal tools to improve R&amp;D efficiency and prevent recurring technical debt.</li> <li><strong>Technical Leadership:</strong> Drive architectural decisions using telemetry data and collaborate across global teams to coordinate cross-functional engineering efforts.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> At least 6 years of professional experience in Backend Software Engineering, specifically building scalable distributed systems.</li> <li><strong>Python Proficiency:</strong> Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing core backend applications in Python.</li> <li><strong>System Knowledge:</strong> Proven expertise in Linux internals, Networking, and Docker containerization.</li> <li><strong>Problem Solving:</strong> Demonstrated track record of diagnosing and resolving low-level performance bottlenecks and complex architectural gaps in production environments.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Infrastructure &amp; Data:</strong> Hands-on experience with MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis, and message queues like Celery or Kafka.</li> <li><strong>Cloud Evolution:</strong> Experience with AWS or other cloud providers, particularly in migrating or scaling on-prem workloads.</li> <li><strong>Deployment Expertise:</strong> Experience supporting customers with on-prem deployments and troubleshooting air-gapped or restricted environments.</li> <li><strong>Domain Knowledge:</strong> Professional background in Cybersecurity or developing security-focused products.</li> <li><strong>Advanced Languages:</strong> Familiarity with low-level languages such as C++ or Kernel-level development.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-HYBRID #LI-ZR1</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About Axonius:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Axonius transforms cyber asset intelligence into actionability.
