We have launched from Egypt to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and UAE, and are looking to build and expand our footprint across the MENA-P region. <br><br></p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p><p>The Senior General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The role focuses on owning key general ledger processes, supporting the financial close cycle, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.<br>This position plays a critical role in the accounting function by ensuring transactions are recorded correctly, reconciliations are completed on time, and discrepancies are investigated and resolved efficiently. The Senior GL Accountant collaborates closely with other finance team members and cross-functional stakeholders to support reliable financial reporting.<br>In summary, the role is responsible for supporting the financial close process, maintaining ledger accuracy, preparing reconciliations and reports, and contributing to strong internal controls and compliance practices.<br></p><p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Perform month-end and year-end closing activities related to the income statement and balance sheet</p></li><li><p>Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules</p></li><li><p>Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation</p></li><li><p>Perform analytical reviews to ensure accuracy and reasonability of financial results</p></li><li><p>Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements</p></li><li><p>Assist in improving accounting processes and documentation of procedures</p></li><li><p>Support finance initiatives such as ERP enhancements and reporting improvements</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data flow</p></li></ul><p><strong>What You'll Need:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</p></li><li><p>4–6 years of General Ledger accounting experience</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting</p></li><li><p>Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools</p></li><li><p>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills</p></li><li><p>High attention to detail and organizational ability</p></li><li><p>Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p>IFRS knowledge is a plus</p></li></ul>
