We’re on the hunt for a sharp, detail-oriented Chargeback Specialist to join Tebex’s payments and compliance team, helping protect our platform while empowering in-game creators to build sustainable businesses.
As a guardian of platform integrity, you’ll play a key role in managing Tebex’s risk profile – reviewing disputes, safeguarding payouts, and identifying emerging fraud patterns. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain industry-leading chargeback performance while striking the right balance between seller experience and platform safety.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Review inbound chargebacks, create defense documentation, and manage disputes in line with established processes.
- Assess seller payouts and projects flagged for potential risk or fraud concerns.
- Identify emerging fraud trends and proactively surface insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Respond to risk and fraud-related payment inquiries from sellers through our support systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide risk and fraud guidance where needed.
- Identify ways for sellers to achieve their goals while minimizing platform risk.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail across all workflows.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in payments, fraud prevention, or customer-facing risk-related roles.
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, process-driven approach to work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to assess risk and apply sound judgment.
- Openness to feedback, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Bonus Points
- Experience handling chargebacks, disputes, or working with payment providers.
- Familiarity with AML, KYC, or compliance-related processes.
- Interest in gaming, digital marketplaces, or creator-driven platforms.
- Ability to notice suspicious patterns before they insist they’re not suspicious.
