Job Description

We are looking for a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer based in Brazil to join a global DevOps team working on mission-critical FX systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams in London and Poland, while playing a key role in strengthening and scaling the DevOps capability in Brazil.

This role is suited for an engineer who is comfortable working in production environments within a regulated industry. The DevOps team is responsible for deploying releases, including planned weekend releases on a rotating basis.

Experience

Mid-level experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar infrastructure / platform role, with proven exposure to production systems and release processes.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong Unix/Linux administration experience

  • Ansible: solid experience writing and maintaining playbooks and roles

  • Confident use of Git and collaborative workflows

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions)

  • Experience running workloads on Kubernetes / OpenShift

  • Scripting or coding experience (Bash, Python, or similar)

  • Experience supporting production environments

  • Willingness and ability to participate in rotational weekend release work

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions

  • Manage and support deployments across:

    • OpenShift / Kubernetes

    • AWS cloud environments

    • Bare-metal infrastructure for low-latency systems

  • Automate infrastructure and application configuration using Ansible

  • Support and troubleshoot Unix/Linux systems, including integration with Windows-based environments

  • Monitor and maintain observability using:

    • Dynatrace for monitoring and alerting

    • ELK stack for centralised logging

  • Collaborate with engineering teams using:

    • GitHub

    • Jira and Confluence

  • Participate in release activities, including:

    • Planned deployments

    • Post-release verification

    • Incident investigation and root cause analysis

  • Take part in a rotational weekend release schedule (approximately 1 weekend every 5)

  • Mentor junior DevOps engineers

  • Use AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, Rovo, Devin) to improve delivery and operational efficiency

  • Improve documentation, standards, and DevOps best practices

Nice to Have

  • AWS experience

  • Exposure to bare-metal infrastructure

  • ELK stack administration

  • Dynatrace configuration and dashboarding

  • Windows Server administration

  • Banking, finance, or FX systems experience

  • Experience working in regulated environments

  • Previous experience working in Kanban teams

Languages

  • English: B2+ minimum (spoken and written)

  • Comfortable owning tasks end-to-end

  • Strong understanding of stability, change control, and risk management

  • Strong collaborator in distributed, international teams
