Job Description

Mission:

Definition and management of outbound logistic standards, processes & system requirements, volume planning, customer quotes, new business fields within SCM, cooperation with customer to improve processes, interface to all plant SCM

Areas of responsibility:

Footprint Strategy

Define the outbound logistics strategy for the Business Area. Support the definition and implementation of the BA logistics footprint and Operations requirements. This includes the necessary legal and customs requirements, customer process and packaging expectations but also a processes to react on adjustments of trade agreement.

Manufacturing Technologies

Support the Manufacturing Technologies in defining the required logistics and container management to optimize the most competitive Operations concept towards the customer; close cooperation with Operations, Purchasing Automotive, Automotive Manufacturing, Automotive Supply Chain Management to select and implement the necessary Industry 4.0 elements.

Performance Management

Drive and initiate operational and strategic projects within the Operations organization using standard methods to improve the logistics competitiveness for BA AN. Elaborate in cooperation with sales as well customers new business fields in the area of Logistic and Supply to increase the customer satisfaction, develop an unique sales proposition as well increase the profit of BA ANS

Volume Planning

Closely monitor Customer Demand Planning (CDP), attend Volume Review / Volume Steering Meetings with Segments and Customer Center and continuously challenge and approach Customer Centers in terms of most realistic demand planning and adaption in case needed.

Life Cycle management

Manage the Logistics (Supply Chain) between the Continental production plant (including sub-contractors), Customer Order Desk (COD) and the OEM Assembly plant including container management, returning goods, premium freight and firewalls at warehouses and OEM assembly plants. Ensure the active participation in the customer quote process.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Studies/Economics Science/Economics
  • 2 - 4 years relevant professional experience (Automotive Logistics, SCM)
  • Experience in international and multicultural working environment 
  • Excel
  • Advanced English
