JOB SUMMARY


The Consumer Real Estate Coordinator (CREC) is responsible for providing high quality service and problem-solving skills for consumer real estate transactions. CREC will be responsible for the origination of in person and online consumer real estate applications. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assist clients with completion of all real estate applications, inspecting completed documents for accuracy and thoroughness. 
  • Submitting files to underwriting within Bank guidelines and compliance policies.
  • Document/update customer contacts in the banks CRM. 
  • Take or receive initial loan applications, deliver appropriate disclosures, collect required documents, interact with the underwriting and documentation teams, and attend loan closings. 
  • As part of the loan application process, CREC will assist in determining the best loan product(s) for the applicant.
  • Identify possible risks during the application process. 
  • Interview and interact with applicants in-person, online, phone, virtually or other means.
  • Working closely with the underwriting department to determine conditions for a loan approval. 
  • Screening and assessing new real estate loan applications for loan eligibility.
  • Working closely with branch staff to increase the number of loans in the real estate portfolio. 
  • Reporting to management on consumer real estate program (pipeline, booked, declined, etc.) 
  • Respond to client inquiries, meet their real estate banking needs by having a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of JBT policies, products and services.
  • Consult with clients to identify financial needs and refer to appropriate JBT partners.
  • Maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System.
  • Notary Public- witness the signing of official documents and verify the identity of the signees.
  • Administer oaths and affirmations, maintain notary journals, and handle various documents such as contracts, and loan documents.
  • Routinely incorporate compliance (knowledge of laws/regulations) in day-to-day tasks.
  • Promote and preserve JBT’s values and culture
  • Follow Bank policy and procedure to prevent fraud and financial crimes
  • Other duties as assigned



Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the Department and in turn, the Bank.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills, specifically, the ability to effectively write a variety of correspondence and to explain complex policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in Loan Origination Software, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Intranet and all internet applications applicable to role. This includes all upgrades to programs and any other conduit available to complete loan documentation. 
  • Maintains a good working relationship with Bank Employees in all departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Professional selling and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 pounds.
