Job Description:


We are seeking a Navy Maintenance & Modernization Analyst to provide critical support for ship repair availabilities and preventative maintenance modeling across Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Amphibious programs, and other Navy platforms. This role combines technical analysis, data-driven decision support, and process integration to improve fleet readiness and sustainment. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in Navy modernization processes, Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), and reliability engineering to review ship change designs, update PMS workload models, and collaborate with engineering teams, OEMs, and program sponsors. 

If you have a strong background in Navy logistics, maintenance planning, and system performance analysis, this position offers an opportunity to make a measurable impact on operational availability and lifecycle cost efficiency. 

Candidates will:

1. Provide acquisition design review support with sustainment focus.

2. Provide support generating performance metrics and analyzing data for Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and Reliability Engineering (RE) efforts.

3. Analyze data and determine effects on readiness and system availability.

4. Support efforts to integrate maintenance, modernization, and reliability data to capture platform system sustainment metrics to improve readiness.

5. Perform cost benefit analyses, life cycle analyses, and operating and sustainment cost analyses. Document and present findings.

6. Conduct technical reviews of Ship Change Designs (SCDs), leveraging multiple Navy Databases to include but not limited to NDE, MFOM, NMD, VSB, Navy Sea Logistic center (NSLC), Deckplate, MBPS Windchill, PMS MIS, NAVLOG TD, LogiQuest, Navy One Touch, to track Navy Modernization Milestones for upcoming maintenance availabilities.

7. Collaborate and coordinate with the AIT Coordinator, Combat Systems Project Engineers (CSPE), maintenance personnel, ship riders, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), In Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), program office sponsors, and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to determine status of pending SCDs and SSRs for upcoming availabilities

8. Conduct Technical Assessment (TAT) reviews of SCDs for LCS class variants ships, including software and hardware for ship systems, and identify issues related to shock qualifications, ILS, and SIDs.

9. Enhances and updates the PMS Workload Model by gathering and collecting necessary data to build and update Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) models for ships and ship systems as required.

10. Support PMS tool automation development, features, and capability enhancements to incorporate latest Force Revisions (FR) efficiently.

11. Update model of PMS total requirements and manage PMS tool processes, workflows, projects, and other related efforts.

12. Determine the amount of PMS man hours dedicated to each Operational Tempo, Rate, Work Center, MIP, MRC, Ship, MP, and other factors and provide it in a quarterly report to Program Sponsor.

13. Support PMS Tool automation developments, features, and capability enhancements to incorporate latest Force Revisions (FR) efficiently.

14. Provide weekly highlights of efforts accomplished and being worked.

Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance level Secret
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • 5 or more years in a project analyst, operations analyst, or data analyst role.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access) 

Preferred Qualifications:


· Hands-on experience with NDE, MFOM, NMD, VSB, NSLC, Deckplate, MBPS Windchill, PMS MIS, NAVLOG TD, LogiQuest, One Touch, and similar Navy logistics/modernization tools.

· Advanced Excel (Power Query/Power Pivot), Access or SQL, and exposure to Python/R for PMS model updates and quarterly reporting. 1

· 10 years’ experience supporting US Navy logistics efforts

· 10 years’ experience with US Navy Combat/Weapon Systems 

· Active Secret security clearance


Security Clearance:


Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance as specified in the minimum qualifications. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance.
