About the Role

Description

We’re searching for a great RN to join us as our Director of Nursing (DON) at Havenwood Care Center! This role brings the rewards of building relationships with staff, residents, and families, as well as the opportunity to build on and establish good systems of nursing operations. The DON leads our nursing department and plays a key role in ensuring quality care for our residents.


The Director of Nursing is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, directing, analyzing, staffing, implementing, and evaluating the nursing services of the department, as well as supervising members of the nursing team in order to provide effective nursing services that meet practice and quality standards.

  • Desire to work with the elderly
  • Experience working in nursing homes
  • Professionalism, compassion, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills
  • Leadership in working with people; focus on working with staff to ensure quality resident care
  • Ability to think in “systems” and establish new efficiencies
  • Capability to understand regulations and implement systems to comply with regulations
  • Tracking and setting goals for quality improvement

Requirements

  • Current and unencumbered RN licensure in the state of MN
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Background in long-term care
  • Ability to do some travel
  • Availability to be on-call for clinical questions after hours

Shift:  Days, Monday – Friday; works weekends and holidays as necessary. The Director of Nursing will make quarterly visits to all shifts. On – call status 24/7, as needed.

Salary: Based on previous experience this position ranges from $110,240 to $128,960 annually, DOE.
