The Kitchen / Laundry Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of kitchen and laundry equipment, troubleshooting and repairing various appliances. They will also conduct regular inspections, maintain logs, and coordinate with teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Job Description

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all kitchen and laundry equipment
Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as dishwashers, ovens, steamers, grills, fryers, washers, dryers, flatwork ironers, and presses
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize operational downtime
Conduct regular inspections and ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service reports
Coordinate with kitchen and laundry teams to plan maintenance activities
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
Monitor spare parts usage and report requirements to the Engineering team
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
Ensure proper use of tools and adherence to safety procedures

Qualifications

Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a hotel, resort, or similar environment
Knowledge of hotel safety standards and preventive maintenance systems
Experience with multinational brand standards is an advantage
