Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing the full scope of general ledger (GL) accounting duties. The Senior Accountant II supports multiple locations and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with organizational policies and accounting standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for accounting processes for up to 7 schools
- Record monthly close entries, including payroll, prepaid amortization, expense accruals, revenue recognition & deferrals, depreciation, inventory, and more.
- Account analysis, including analyzing expense trends and comparing budget and forecast.
- Preparation and review of financial reports
- Fixed asset additions and maintenance.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Filing personal property tax returns and sales tax returns.
- Assist with regulatory filings.
- Preparation of audit schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong Financial Management system aptitude is required.
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
