What we're looking for

Faye is looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our core R&D team. You will be a key player in building our innovative travel insurance platform, taking ownership of features from the database all the way to the user interface. While the role is approximately 70% Backend focused, you will have a significant impact on our frontend architecture and user experience.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where you will solve complex technical challenges, optimize for high scalability, and help shape the future of travel tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-scale backend services and APIs (Node.js/TypeScript).
• Build responsive, intuitive, and visually appealing web interfaces using React.js.
• Take full ownership of features end-to-end: from architecture and database design to frontend implementation.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineers to translate complex requirements into high-quality code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high engineering standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices to continuously improve our stack.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in React.js and its core principles.
• Deep understanding of database design and building scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex codebases.
• A “get things done” mindset with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic startup environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude.
