We need a Backend Engineer who builds with AI as their primary tool, to own core services in a platform that processes millions of real-time delivery transactions daily for retailers like Home Depot, Best Buy, and ASDA.
When this system runs, deliveries happen on time across some of the world's largest operations. When it doesn't, our customers feel it within the hour. This role sits at the center of that.
What You'll Do
- Core backend services become more stable, scalable, and faster to ship — because you own them end-to-end, from architecture through production.
- AI-assisted development moves from individual habit to team practice — you lead by example and define what good looks like across R&D.
- Algorithm-based components that drive real-time routing and delivery decisions get sharper — you build and evolve them.
- Architectural decisions are better-informed — you're in the room, contributing to system design across a complex distributed environment.
- The team moves faster and with more confidence — because your testing strategies and tooling choices raise the floor for everyone.
