Job Summary
- As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice
Essential Functions
- Behavioral Health Staff Nurses hold a shift accountability to provide direct patient care by utilization of the nursing process in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
Education
- Graduate from an accredited professional nurse program
Licenses/Certifications
- Must possess a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current BCLS/Pediatric First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire
- MAB (Managing Aggressive Behavior) within 30 days of hire
- NIH Stroke within 30 days of hire
- Valid Drivers License issued by the State
