Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect

• Design & Implementation
• Architect end-to-end SFMC solutions using Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Mobile Studio to scale across brands and regions.
• Data Modeling & Management
• Define and manage the SFMC data model—including Data Extensions, Attribute Groups, Subscriber Key strategy, contact resolution, identity stitching, and data retention/archival patterns for segmentation and personalization.
• System Integrations
• Build secure, scalable integrations between SFMC and Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud via Marketing Cloud Connect, and with external CRMs, CDPs, data warehouses, using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (MuleSoft/Dell Boomi), and ETL pipelines.
• Journey & Campaign Orchestration
• Architect sophisticated, event-driven customer journeys across channels, designing decision logic, suppressions, frequency controls, and ensuring real-time responsiveness.
• Email Deliverability & Compliance
• Implement deliverability strategies: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, IP warming plans; manage sender reputation and maintain vendor relationships with ISPs for optimal inbox placement.
• Template & Framework Development
• Lead creation of reusable, responsive email and SMS templates using HTML/CSS, AMPscript, Server‑Side JavaScript (SSJS), dynamic content, and personalization tokens.
• Mentorship & Best Practices
• Coach marketing and development teams on SFMC architecture, coding standards, data hygiene, and campaign best practices.

• SFMC Expertise
• Deep hands-on experience with Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Mobile Studio, AMPscript, SSJS, dynamic content
• Integration & API Skills
• Proficient with REST/SOAP, Marketing Cloud Connect, ETL pipelines, middleware tools like MuleSoft or Dell Boomi
• Architectural & Strategic Thinking
• Ability to translate business goals into scalable technical designs with strong solution architecture abilities
• Leadership & Communication
• Proven experience mentoring teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and presenting technical solutions clearly
• Ability to convert photoshop designs into HTML/CSS
• Able to workshop designs and concepts with client team
• Experience in responsive design
• Experience in AA level accessibility implementation
• Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Application
• Good analysis and solution design skills.
• 5+ years in Marketing Cloud architecture
• 5+ years of experience in Marketing Cloud hands-on technical/development role. Knowledge of Salesforce is plus
• Exposure to Git based tools like BitBucket
• Exposure to VSCode, Salesforce DX, Tooling, Metadata APIs
• Preferred certifications: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant or Architect
