Maintenance Technician II
Location: Bloomington, IL
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, skilled, and self-directed Maintenance Technician II to support the day-to-day maintenance operations for Core 3. This role requires a strong working knowledge of residential systems and the ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete service requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform skilled repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, appliance repair, and general HVAC maintenance
- Complete full unit turns make-readies), including identifying potential maintenance concerns before move-in
- Ensure all work is completed to company quality standards and within required timelines
- Communicate professionally with residents regarding service updates, scheduling, and resolution
- Coordinate and schedule work orders directly with residents when needed
- Document all work performed, materials used, and notes in the company’s property management software daily using a company-provided device
- Assist in identifying preventative maintenance opportunities
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in an organized and professional manner
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation (additional compensation provided)
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of residential or multi-family maintenance experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience with appliances and HVAC systems preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical maintenance tasks
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
