Juneau Land Operations

UnCruise Adventures operates four vessels from April through September in Southeast Alaska. The vessels dock in Juneau weekly or bi-weekly from Friday through Sunday with up to two vessels per day, the largest of which has 88 guests and 31 crew. The Juneau Land Operations team works to assist the vessels and guests with their various needs, from provisioning support to luggage movement with a constant focus on guest service and vessel support.

Job Summary

The Guest Services Representative is responsible for assisting vessel guests at our hospitality suite. Guests will either be arriving for or departing from their cruise and this position will be the go-to person for airport transfers, luggage check-in, and around-town advice. Guest Service Representatives report to the Land Operations Manager. 


Schedule and Pay Range

  • This position is in-person, land-based in Juneau, Alaska. Accommodation and relocation will not be provided.
  • This position starts in April 2026 and ends in September 2026 (approximately a 6 month position).
  • $24.00 - $28.00 per hour - Depending on Experience. Compensation for this full-time (seasonal) position will be at an hourly rate for a total of 26 - 34 hours per week, Thursday through Sunday.

Essential Duties 

  • Host and maintain the hospitality suite including collect and tag guest luggage, maintain the guest manifest, and ensure the space meets high company standards.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to guests to ensure they have a pleasant pre- and post-cruise experience
  • Coordinate with the Land Manager to support all troubleshooting, logistics and customer service issues with transportation vendors as needed.
  • Maintain and report inventory of collateral material associated with the hospitality suite.
  • Assist with unloading incoming and loading outgoing luggage movements to/from the vessels and airport. 

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Must be able to staff the hospitality suite on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (with a ½ hour lunch break) from April through September. 
  • Must be able to work at the Juneau Land Operations Office on Thursdays, flexible from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service focused position dealing with highly educated and affluent clientele.
  • Knowledge of Juneau and the surrounding areas including restaurants and excursions
  • Excel in problem solving and logistical skills.
  • Detail oriented and thorough; able to follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to get along well with co-workers and support a team environment.

Physical Demands

This position will be physically demanding. Bending, climbing, repetitive motion, and heavy lifting of loads up to 50 pounds or more are requirements of this position. This position requires long hours of standing and being on your feet.
